Nautical Operation

Nautical Operations is responsible for the safe movement and operation of our ships. Although the nautical department is relatively small compared to the hotel operation on board, it consists of highly trained and experienced technical and navigational personnel that ensure our vessels are always safe, reliable, and in compliance with the rules and regulations at all times.

Technology has helped to make the world’s rivers safer and easier to navigate than ever. Our shipboard radar ensures careful navigation at night and in low visibility. For example, you’ll enjoy a landmark transit of the canal that links the Main and Danube rivers—an engineering feat completed in 1992.
